            Bug ID: 114336
Summary: UI slow under MacOs (particularly bottom toolbar
                    update)
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 6.0.0.0.beta1
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
                OS: Mac OS X (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: aurelien.l.ibreoffice at ap2c.com

Under MacOS, UI updates depending on user actions is slow (around 1s).
For instance, when selecting multiple cells of a table under Writer, there is a
long delay (around 1s) before the "merging cell" button becomes available in
the bottom toolbar. The update of the name of the selected cells is also long
into the status toolbar (even if I don't care about that).

Another trouble which is quite boring is that cursor movments or text line
edition become very very slow when an "atypique" UTF character is contained
into this line (for instance: "↝")

MacOS 10.13.1, LibreOffice 5.4.3 and 6.0.0 bêta1
