Bug ID: 114600
Summary: Need to be able to locate footnotes "below text"
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 5.1.6.2 release
Hardware: x86 (IA32)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: adaw2 at email.com
Description:
I am a PhD student and write all of my papers in LibreOffice. I would prefer to
continue using LibreOffice for all of my papers--and, eventually, my
dissertation. However, my doctoral program requires that footnotes be located
"below the text" (meaning *immediately* below the text) rather than at the
bottom of the page.
MS Word and other WP programs have this option but LibreOffice does not.
Please add the option to locate footnotes immediately "below the text." I
really do not want to have to go back to Microsoft for my most important
writings!
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Tools
2. Footnotes and endnotes...
3. Position
Actual Results:
Available options:
End of page
End of document
Expected Results:
Available options:
End of page
Below text
End of document
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux i686; rv:56.0) Gecko/20100101
Firefox/56.0
