@Alex: I downloaded LibreOffice from the website.  I didn't realize you could
from the iOS app store.  I wonder if that might have worked better.  I am using
the 5.3.3.  I downloaded that build thinking it might resolve the problem, but
it doesn't.

Here is a breakdown of my issue:

1.) My gmail account for remote file saving does not have 2FA enabled.

2.) I used to be able to remotely save document files using a master password. 

3.) LibreOffice's remote saving first prompts me to type in a username and the
master password, which I can still do like I've always done.  However...

4.) After typing in the master password, a new window now appears asking me to
type a number after "G-_______".  I have no idea what numbers the system is
looking for, and I don't receive a text message with any Google authentication
numbers.  This is where I am at a loss as to what to do.

As a result, I can no longer save or access my remotely saved files on Google
Drive using LibreOffice.
