The LibreOffice app from the app store unfortunately has other bugs...we
recommend (at least for QA purposes) using the versions available from the
LibreOffice website, as you have done.

So, it would appear that Google has changed its API for logging in (that would
also correspond to the different login screens now when other apps request
access to the Google account. My guess is that the code we implement no longer
works with Google's new authentication API. This actually kind of rings a bell
as something already reported, so this report might be a duplicate.

That number code request sounds like a 2FA or OTP code request.
