The following procedure leads to the image ignoring the shape inside which one
is attempting to insert it:
a) Insert > Shape > Basic > ...
b) Select the inserted shape
c) Insert > Image

Is this expected/desired in LO Impress?
Instead, selecting the shape, right-clicking it, selecting Area and selecting
an image from there leads to the desired result.
