            Bug ID: 131252
Summary: Race condition freeze under Windows when opening
                    multiple instances rapidly
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: All
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: medium
         Component: LibreOffice
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: hippi-viking at protonmail.com

Description:
When opening a file by acciedental doubleclick in a single-click context under
Windows the two (or more) instances are in a race condition for opening the
given file, which can only be sorted out by manually terminating one (or more)
of the launched instances.
The downside for inexperienced users is that they do not see any activity and
may launch furter instances thus making the mentioned race condition even
worse. It is not intuitive for mentioned inexperienced users to manually
terminate tasks.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open any given file multiple times rapidly (e.g. doubleclick in single-click
context)
2. wait
3. terminate launched task(s) manually

Actual Results:
no visual confirmation of LO launching and opening the file(s) until manually
terminating some of the rapid-launched instances

Expected Results:
race condition solved by prioritising launched instances

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No
