Peter, am I right that you use LibreOffice on MAC and on Windows? The
"Terminal" is probably specific to Linux. Image
   LinuxLxdeCommandLine.png
shows you where the terminal is found in the Linux/Debian LXDE menu.

When I click "Konsole" I get a Terminal window. In the image
   Soffice61.png
that's the black window in the upper left area of the screen.

If I enter the command
   $ soffice
in the black Terminal window, LibreOffice will start.

You can see a few error messages in the terminal window. In my case that's
   Gdk-WARNING **: 17:18:08.558: gdk_window_set_icon_list: icons too large
In my case that happens when I start LibreOffice 6.1

The Konsole and these error messages are probably Julian's remark:
   "Could you try to launch LO from a terminal/console and
    see if there are any traces which may provide some hints?"

I also have version 6.4. To start that version, I need to give the command
   $ /opt/libreoffice6.4/program/soffice
In that case LibreOffice 6.4 will start. That's also image
   Soffice64.png
As you can see, I don't get any error messages when starting 6.4

BTW, for those who are helping you, it's often useful if you go to
   Help -> About LibreOffice
and copy most of the text there and paste it in every bug report that you
start. Then we can see which operating system you are using and help you
better. ;-)

I hope this helps!

PS:
- I'm not a developer. I'm a user myself and I submitted a few bug reports. I'm
now trying to confirm the bugs that other people report here.
