The problem here is that a single check box enables a group of unknown
features.

Personally I would be more than happy to just enable macros and leave all
the other unknown features disabled.

Maybe other users would like to enable some other feature like SVG export
(even if it is unstable) because they NEED it and leave macros disabled.

Isn't this possible?

If testers KNOW what they are enabling maybe reporting is more accurate...
