O.K. Than it is – again – a strange behaviour on my system ... :) 
Just out of interest: Which graphics card/chip are you using (and 
with which driver did you test it)? Mine is an Intel Mobile GSE 
Integrated Graphics Card with xserver-xorg-video-intel 2.21.15-2+b1.
