Hi All,
Again I'm seeing more users incorrectly add bugs to the MAB trackers :(
This wiki needs some love:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/Most_Annoying_Bugs
If no one else volunteers I'll try to poke at it this week but what we need:
1. On top we need to highlight the most important things about MAB in a
more obvious fashion so we can point users to the wiki and they can see
where they go wrong (when they add their own bug or a non MAB bug to the
list). So some of the things (this isn't an exhaustive list)
*do not nominate your own bug (this should be bolded, highlighted and
underlined ;) )
*do not nominate UNCONFIRMED bugs - (along with this DO NOT confirm your
own bug)
*do not nominate enhancement requests
*do not nominate bugs that are likely annoying for a small subset of
users (MAB should be for bugs that affect the wider community as a whole)
*do not nominate bugs which do not have _all_ QA steps done including
reproducing, ensuring that reproducible steps are listed, bibisect if
possible, etc . . .
*do not nominate bugs which are not appropriately prioritized
2. The steps for for setting to MAB - it would be nice if we could
simplify these in some way while preserving the steps listed. The steps
are perfectly fine right now but if someone knows how to condense and
highlight the most important parts it might help users focus on the most
vital parts
3. For future - might be nice to have a video showing how to do it.
Please remember that we are aiming for describing to people who are not
as familiar with our bug tracker as we are - therefore the simpler the
better :)
Warm Regards,
Joel
