Even a partial obscure is an hindrance, image a bookkeeper working with numbers
the whole day having to constantly move the focus around just to check values?
the original FR was based on what MS-Office does, MSO has never done this, so
why is LO implementing something MS hasn't done and even if they have it would
have been configurable.

What about a simple if/then/else based on a value:

Post and Pre 24.8 users will be happy.
