Zoom isn't a work-around. It limited by the visible canvas. Keyboard is more of
an option. But there are two way's of moving objects; with keyboard or mouse,
IMHO

Or even X/Y coordinates for hardcore users

Labeling a solution a work-around means: there is a problem which can be
improved (enhancement). You might even say LOW priority, because of the quality
of the work-around. Closing the bug as 'NOTABUG' isn't the logical consequence,
IMHO
