It was more or less a partial mockup limited to arranging the Position Controls
as contrast to the suggestion of sdc.blanco. So yes it has the same flaw.

In principle I would agree with 'make it a coherent sentence' and "make a
grammatically correct sentence", but I fear the bar being to high because that
includes the sentence to be coherent in all (current and future) translations.
And that's likely mission impossible.

The "From Left" isn't really self-explaining. Aligning Left doesn't allow an
offset. "From left" means, Left side (of defined area; for example Paragraph
Area) + Off-set. No idea why this category being needed at all. Some could
argue that "Left" + offset value = From Left internally, but without exposing
this in the dialog.

And I have no idea why you aren't allowed to define off-set "From Center" or
"From Right" (I'm maybe overlooking something)

As wondering: is the category "From Left" actually "From Right" for RTL?

Don't ask me where the defined area is actually located. The are highly
specific; and because the are specific the become technical. So even help is
using a technical description. It's not easy to understand for moderate user,
IMHO. I have no clue what will happen, even when reading the help; and when it
will produce the same result and in which cases it will differ. So my tendency
is stick with default area :-).

I'm rather visually orientated, so long technical descriptions are hard regards
 how well written

> * Offset of what, from what?
Offset from the (Left) alignment (going to the right). Offset in essence the
same as Indent, I think

I agree. However having to consider all the dimensions at once is quite mind
boggling/ mind numbing.
