I would pretty much like that as well.

In Calc you need to:
1) Double click the chart
2) Right-click it
3) Select Data Ranges
4) Then click the Ref selection button
5) Select the entire range again (since there's no handle to simply drag to
update it)

IMO we do not offer a good experience in this regard.
