Thank you for the reply.  I was also thinking of your suggestion.  Default
start center as the templates option.

Privacy is the primary benefit that comes to mind.  Until I was asked about it,
(I'm the only user of my own systems and rarely use them in a public space), it
never occurred to me this might be a privacy concern.  Now I can't unsee the
behavior.
