You need multiple personas (identities) to be able to switch among them... of
course only one persona will be active at a given time for a given document
being edited.

By "on top of", do you mean that this would be its data source? Or do you mean
that it would be accessible only through that tab? If it's the former option,
then yes - as something you can place on a toolbar. If it's the latter option -
then that's not good enough; but it will at least be a start.
