Looks good. Mostly the scoping ones and assigned but unused warnings, as
far as I can see. Pushed now, thanks for this.

Just watch out for some of the cppcheck warnings, a few here and there
are false positives, I filed
https://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/cppcheck/ticket/2279 for one of them
(which I now see the fixed the day it was filed)
