I don't know the ins and outs of such a change at the core functionality
level, but you definitely have my round of applause if you want to go
that way. The date literal thing (which was also present in StarOffice)
has been a pain in my butt for a very long time, say, more than 10 years
lol !!!

How would you envisage the prepared statement working with the filter
functionality currently available in forms, for example, where this
transition from date literal is transparent for the user (because the
query is generated on the fly) ?
