sorry, I only was in contact with Alex ... (I really hate these multi 
list discussions.)

H've got some information from Alex, in his mails I see "You are 
receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug."

But he is not, and in his settings I can't see that he is following any 
other mail address. I believe there is something wrong in Bugzilla's 
guts and asked for help in
