Master Build Failure in Python3 on Mac OSX with SDK 10.6 and XCode 4.5.2

Tor could the issue be that python 3 isnt backwards compatible with python
2 code?

At this stage what I worry about is the need for massive changes to
possibly fix any issues that this could cause.
