That could be the same issue as discussed in the mail thread starting at

Assertion" (i.e., require -mfpmath=sse -msse2, see

Assertion". on 32-bit X86 to produce numeric values that match those 
produced on other platforms, at the expense of killing support for 
non-SSE2 X86 machines).
