[Mesa-dev] so the development model is working?

I spend a lot of time on IRC and like it a lot, but imo mails also
have many advantages :
- better indexed
- better archived
- usually better written and explained, and provide the context : this
is very important for later reference, either for a late answer, or
just to point out some discussion to someone else
- threaded
- not affected by timezone
- etc..
I was very surprised by how much IRC was used when I discovered the
nouveau/mesa/dri communities :)
Of course IRC is very pleasant and having logs solve the most
important problems above, but not always in an optimal way.
IMO the best would be to make good use of both communication methods,
but what do I know...
Anyway sorry to disturb with this off-topic, /me goes back to sleep.
(btw IRC does not prevent flood/spam/off-topic either ;)).
