FYI, I have some code on my 'resinfo' branch which makes it easy to generate 
resinfo for other purposes than compiling an ir_txs expression.

Using resinfo for texture coordinate rescaling didn't quite work out, IIRC, 
due to it uncovering an ant-hill of other bugs...so, some work required.

But, as Topi pointed out, I think we can just drop this patch.
