The answer is pretty simple none of the supported 'platforms' is detected thus
nothing gets enabled/build. Perhaps we should error out at configure time ?

Here is what I mean with "none of the supported 'platforms' is detected"
checking for EGL... no
checking for GLESV1... no
checking for GLESV2... no
checking for VG... no
checking for OSMESA... no
checking for DRM... no
checking for X11... no
checking for GBM... no
