Would it make sense adding something here like

    else
        ctx->imms_array = ctx->soa.immediates;

and then on free
    if (ctx->imms_array != ctx->soa.immediates)
        FREE(ctx->imms_array);

to avoid all the conditionals around usual imms_array use?
