Pardon for missing the obvious. And yes the Android app cannot toggle
to plain texts emails :-\

For the moment I'll go ahead with Andreas' fix and will pull the
series next week with a revert on top.
This way we have a few months to see if my wishful thinking pans out,
while still preserving the original behaviour in the released Mesa.
