[Mesa-stable] Mesa 17.0.1 delayed

Hi all,

We have a number of nasty regressions in the (to be announced) 17.0.1
rc, that may take another day or two to iron out.
Expect the usual pre-release email/summary as soon as things are in
normal shape.

Mildly related: seemingly a handful of our tests (ran at `make check')
have not been executed in a while. I'm trying to sort that as well,
but the fixes might end later releases.
