ya i know that.. but i just wanted to know.. what are the general cases that this situation might occur???
nywys i am trying to build mesa for MIPS...
i configured it using-------------------./configure --prefix=/usr/target --build=mipsel-linux --host=i686 --enable-shared --disable-asm---------
built it for linux-directfb
now that iam trying to run the df_gears application using the following command and iam getting as undefined references for all GL related calls...-------------------------------- /opt/embeddedalley/nxp_tv550/bin/mipsel-linux-gcc -o try df_gears.c -ldirectfb -lpthread -lGL -lGLU------------------------- this is the output thet iam getting..------------------------/tmp/ccantspb.o: In function `gear':df_gears.c:(.text+0x11c): undefined reference to `glShadeModel'df_gears.c:(.text+0x14c): undefined reference to `glNormal3f'df_gears.c:(.text+0x164): undefined reference to `glBegin'................/opt/embeddedalley/nxp_tv550/mipsel-linux/usr/lib/libGLU.so: undefined reference to `glEvalMesh1'/opt/embeddedalley/nxp_tv550/mipsel-linux/usr/lib/libGLU.so: undefined reference to `glTranslated'/opt/embeddedalley/nxp_tv550/mipsel-linux/usr/lib/libGLU.so: undefined reference to `glMap1f'/opt/embeddedalley/nxp_tv550/mipsel-linux/usr/lib/libGLU.so: undefined

Whenever you're having any issue (with any software), your post to the
ML should include 1) what you're doing (in this case how you built
Mesa + how you're trying to link to it), 2) the *exact* output you're
getting (copy and paste it), and 3) what you expect should happen.
