Are you sure?

My device starts with 12d1:14fe and is switched by usb_modeswitch to 
12d1:1506.

There is no additionally switch.

To clarify this, please clean with dmesg -c; plug in your device and tell me 
the output of dmesg 

In a second try you could disable usb-modeswitch by setting 
/etc/usb_modeswitch - DisableSwitching=1
