problem with dell latitude

I've run:

PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/usr/lib/pkgconfig ./configure  --prefix=/usr

make

and here is result:

mm-broadband-modem-mbim.c: In function ‘power_up_context_step’:
mm-broadband-modem-mbim.c:1265:3: error: #error if this fails, were good
 # error if this fails, were good
   ^

what does it mean? :)
