Port forced closed after DEACT

Hello,
I am facing an unexpected - as far as I can tell - behavior with
ModemManager 1.12.8 and network manager is 1.22.10 on Ubuntu 20.04, the
modem is LE910 V2.
During and ongoing connection, lasting since 38 minutes, the tty port is
force closed after the following message
<debug> (ttyACM3): <-- '+CGEV: ME DEACT IP, "10.29.174.52", 1<CR><LF>'
Is it normal that a deactivation leads to a port close?
After that, even if the tty (ttyACM0) is still usable from an external
process (e.g. minicom) and the modem has not crashed, nor detached, the
ModemManager is not able to reuse the port
<warn> Couldn't load Operator Code: 'Cannot run sequence: 'Could not
open serial device ttyACM0: it has been forced close''
This seems very similar to what discussed in thread "ModemManager can't
open serial port after previously opening it successfully", except that in
this case it doesn't seem pppd the one which closes the connection first.
Full log attached
Thanks,
Carlo
