The mmcli output below shows the modem is connected. But, does the
wwan0 interface have correct IP settings configured in the interface?

Also, if the WWAN connection is not the default route, you'll need to
make sure you disable the reverse path filter (rp_filter) to make the
"ping -I wwan0 xxx" work (so that the ICMP response are not filtered
out by the kernel because they were received in the non-default route)
