Removing CDMA/EVDO support?

Hi all,

Now that the 1.24 release is out, perhaps that time has come to begin
removing CDMA/EVDO/3GPP2 support for the next release.

I spent some time recently investigating how many active CDMA/EVDO
networks still exist. Most usage appears to be with utilities/IoT
networks. While many are in the process of evolving to LTE a number of
CDMA-based networks still appear to be operational as of 2024.

Anyone have thoughts on this? Is it too soon?
