Thanks for the pointer. AFAICS, 1.42.4 is the most recent 1.42 release?
But a backport of that fix is present in the current nm-1-42 branch
as 5d95c2078707, so I assume it will be released with 1.42.6.
I'll try the current nm-1-42 and report back.

Ouch. OK, will attempt to do that. But it's often weeks between each
time this issue hits me, so tha trace could be huge.
Will this be sufficient, or are there other "domains" that should be
included for completeness?:
