Hi.

You can always use the "stun" utility from the stund package (it is
available in at least Debian and Ubuntu).
Then you can run this against some stun server on the open internet,
such as the one on ds0039.flosoft-servers.net (this is the one pointed
to by the stun SRV records for jabber.org).

Using the command:
stun -v ds0039.flosoft-servers.net

would print out the NAT type at the end of the command's output.
