You might add
export DESKTOP_LAUNCH=kde-open into your ~/.bashrc

Also you might report a bug against the mandriva packagers to set it in KDE 
out of box. I am not sure if it is a standard. At least, Michael Meeks tried 
to suggest it as a standard, see

It was probably ignored, see

Anyway, we use it in SuSE...

Yes, we do not have any Go-oo-build specific patches in this area right now.

It is probably a bug in konqueror.
