My understanding is that with the Git stuff, ./autogen.sh replaces ./configure.

I have a local friend who's a Linux guru... I'm more the user type... he uses
git and knows all this stuff, let me see if I can get him to explain this to
me.

I'll pipe up with results when I have them.
