Sorry I haven't had a chance to work on this... been a crazy couple days...

Basically what my friend told me was to run autogen.sh, then ./configure
(overriding the configure from autogen) and then make, make install. Obviously
I'll have a look 'round configure's help screen so I know what options to play
with.

Don't know off hand when I'll have a chance to get back to this tho. Would be
nice if it were today but I got stuff to do...

...thought you folks would want an update, though, so here 'tis...
