Hi everyone,

I will like to offer a correction regarding several comments I made about Xavier Bachelot who has been a long time project maintainer for OpenChrome project.
I made several comments on this mailing list (openchrome-devel mailing list), possibly on the sister mailing list (openchrome-users mailing list), and on bugs.freedesktop.org that I felt ignored by Xavier for a very long period (i.e., from October 2015 until March 2016), and implied that he was an irresponsible person who abandoned the OpenChrome project for many months, only to return recently.
Benno Schulenberg brought to my attention that Xavier did send me an e-mail to him, James Simmons (another project maintainer who has since disappeared), another potential developer (who has since disappeared as well), and me on January 2nd, 2016.
I have known the existence of this e-mail to some extent from January 2016 since I saw the portion Benno was quoting (I received that e-mail from Benno.), but since I mistakenly assumed that Xavier did not send the original e-mail in question to me (but assumed that it was sent to Benno, James, and another potential developer only), I felt excluded back then.
I did go back to my gmx.com e-mail account, and searched e-mails from Xavier, and it turns out Xavier did indeed send the very original e-mail in question on January 2nd, 2016.
Xavier asked for non-disclosure of the contents of the e-mail, so I will not discuss what was discussed in it.
In retrospect (after I found the unread e-mail in question today), he had a very valid reason why he was not able to communicate with me for a long time, and I definitely accept that as a valid reason why he did not reply to my e-mails.
Please do not ask or speculate about what was said in the e-mail.
I regret this error, and apologize to Xavier Bachelot for potentially ruining his reputation.

Sincerely,

Kevin Brace
OpenChrome Project Maintainer
