Obviously, I will not dismiss your complaint that things aren't working with
Puppy Linux 6.0.x.
That being said, it is my view that there might be something else that is
beyond my control (i.e., software code I did not write or fix) that might be
contributing to the problem.
Why do I think like this?
It is because the current code base (i.e., master branch code head) has been
tested with many (about 8) different generations of VIA chipsets starting from
CLE266 chipset (EPIA-CL and EPIA-M) all the way to VX855 chipset (Wyse C00X).
Furthermore, the code has been tested with both Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and Lubuntu
12.04 (mainly i386, but on occasions, AMD64).
Yes, Ubuntu 14.04 LTS based OS is missing, and this is due to various small
issues I have encountered (Lubuntu 14.04 power management applet issue and
Xubuntu 14.04.4 build dependency issue) that has hampered (discouraged) my use
of Ubuntu 14.04 LTS based OSes.
For now, I am focused on releasing OpenChrome Version 0.4.0 within a week.
I will take a look at your issue after the new OpenChrome is released.
I hope that is okay.
