Hi Marty,

This is the first version of the patch to see if the FP is working after
returning from VT.
After researching this issue, it appears that all of the VN896 chipset laptops
I have use a 12-bit interface to a FP LVDS chip.
Here, a FP LVDS bridge chip (typically VIA Technologies VT1637 dual channel
LVDS bridge operating in single channel LVDS mode) converts dual edged (DDR or
Double Data Rate.) interface signals to LVDS signals for the FP.
Because I did not have a laptop with a 24-bit interface, the code for it was
not really there to support it properly.
In your case, it appears that an 18-bit interface (24-bit interface with a few
bits removed from each RGB bits) is used to connect to VT1634AL single channel
LVDS bridge chip.
