[Openchrome-users] Questions about framebuffer support?

Hello, All

I was wondering if someone active in the driver development could shed 
some light
on what it would take to get xxmc framebuffer support working. Is it the 
fact that the low level calls are being handled by DRI as opposed to 
kernel space ( DRI only exist in the context of an X-Server).  Inquiring 
minds want to know.
