[Openchrome-users] HDTV performance

Hi,

I want to ask you for your experiences regarding HDTV.

I tried a small sample file "720p @ 25 Mbit/s - Heuris-Logo" from
ftp://ftp.heise.de/pub/ct/spezial/logo.mpg
(could not yet test the other samples from
http://www.heise.de/ct/ftp/spezial.shtml
as I don't have any display available supporting >1600x1200 ...)

The 720p sample from above consumes ~78% cpu using a SP13000, xorg7rc3 
(gentoo) and mplayer. Xine takes ~60% cpu, with device.unichrome_cpu_save 
enabled ~32% but it seems to jerk a little bit.

Do you think the hardware could manage 1080p or is that too much?
