Entirely possible.... but unlikely that what you are seeing is caused by a 
driver fault. :)

1. Have you asked about this on the myth mailing lists?
1b. Have you checked there aren't any known problems with the atrpms build 
you're using.
2. Have you checked your mythtv logs to check xvmc is working.
3. What do you have for extra audio buffering.
4. Are you using video or audio for timebase.
5. What video res/mode are you using for output.
