[Openchrome-users] Openchrome or Mythtv bug?

Got an interesting problem with the internal DVD player of mythtv. I'm
using monolithic build 6.9.0 but I can't remember what via driver I have
(whether I patched in an SVN version or not) - this is what is reported...

(II) LoadModule: "via"
(II) Loading /usr/lib/modules/drivers/via_drv.so
(II) Module via: vendor="X.Org Foundation"
        compiled for 4.3.99.902, module version = 0.1.33
        Module class: X.Org Video Driver
ABI class: X.Org Video Driver, version 0.8

Using mythfrontend and navigating the menus I get the following fault in
the xorg server:

mythtv: via_context.c:246: calculate_buffer_parameters: Assertion
`fb->Attachment[BUFFER_BACK_LEFT].Renderbuffer' failed.

Switching from 'via XvMC' as the preferred playback method to 'libmpeg2'
that error goes away and I can play DVDs (with a lot of stuttering) OK.

Still using 'libmpeg2' but started up the playback using "mythtv dvd:\\" I
get the original xorg error - I guess it doesn't consult the database
settings correctly.

Clues as to where to go from here? It doesn't look as though a traceback
in mythtv is going to be very useful if its X that fails!

Cheers
