Probably no need; CLE266 support was already pretty much complete.

No. The Noscale modes are expected to overscan a little; I refer to a 
previous reply from Ivor about overscan for an explanation:

The only way you'll get the whole picture on your TV is to use an 
underscan mode, like 720x480Under, but you don't want to do that really 
because it'll be scaled and text will be less readable and video won't 
play as well.

In my case, with a Gnome desktop, I miss most of the top and bottom 
panels, and a little more off either side. Still, DVD movies etc. play 
beautifully.
