no need to go further, the snapshots are way too much outdated, go with 
latest openchrome svn and drm cvs. There are instructions on openchrome.org.
ANd also maybe a precompiled openchrome binary exist for Etch. Not sure 
though, you'll have to check by yourself (still in openchrome' wiki)
