[Openchrome-users] FC5 with updates and kelkoo build - corrupt video when using XvMC - pic enclosed

The h/w is a 1gz Epia EZRA (1586) with CLE266.

I have just rebuilt the box with a clean FC5, added the kelkoo repo, 
done a 'yum update', then added the atrpms repo and done a 'yum install 
mythtv-suite'.

I rebuilt the kernel-module-via-drm SRPM from kelkoo and installed it.
Kelkoo's xorg-x11-drv-via was already installed by my upgrade.

I patched my xorg.conf up from my FC4 version (enclosed).

When I enable 'VIA XvMC' in MythTV and play recordings (made from my 2 
Hauppauge Nova-Ts) most of them are garbled as the pic above. Disabling 
XvMC allows them to be rendered correctly using much more cpu.

I was told this on the myth list:

"VIA XvMC does not support most MPEG-2 streams. It only decodes
a subset of valid MPEG-2 streams. The PVR-250 recorder can be
configured to only generate streams that VIA XvMC can support,
but the Nova-T can not.

There is a long standing effort by the OpenChrome developers to
extend the VIA driver to support standard XvMC acceleration. If
you can program, it would be a good idea to join their mailing
list and help them get it done.

The thing to try first is to install MythTV and OpenChrome from
the development versions to see if this is something that has
already been fixed."

Can anyone shed any more light on this problem ? Is it worth my trying 
to rebuild the drm or via modules from cvs ? which one should I try ?
