Hi Joel,

The attached patch is the closest I was able to get to getting
720x480Over working.

I wasn't aware of the VBEModes option.  What does it do?  I tried that
on my box and now I get different behavior than I had before.   I get a
semi-sane screen in that the picture is centered, but only the top left
portion of the screen is displayed (its like the desktop resolution is
higher than the display resolution).
