Hrm, i don't think you got a lock up. My last push, which improved 
tracking of output versus CRTC, wasn't tested sufficiently. CRT stays 
blank when using secondary, as output ownership wasn't set correctly.

In your case, you only need to prevent a hardlock.

This bit enables secondary, so yes.

It's a direct copy of something that isn't a standard interface nor
something that can't be implemented differently. "Luc's code" is not 
sufficient here, as there is a specific copyright statement at the top 
of the file you've taken this code from.

There is quite some difference with regards to secondary gamma setting. 
It's not clearly defined which is which, it's not fully per output, it's 
not fully per CRTC, it's not the same across unichrome versions. Another 
VIA mess that will take considerable testing and poking for it to be 
used properly in my dualhead code.
